Täna alustasin * Orelikontserti Niguliste kirikus. 25.augustil on Uibo orelikontsert. 22. augustil, esmaspäeva hommikul algas jama. Kuulsin raadiost riigipöödest Moskvas.

Sel ajal ei teadnud veel keegi, kas see jääb katseks, kes on selle taga. Kui nägin telekast seda seltskonda, siis oli nende nägudest näha- ega sellised saa ometi olla rahva ja riigi juhid. Need olid karikatuurid Prantsuse revolutsiooni päevilt kui Daumier jt. karikeerisid poliitikuid. 23. augustil, teisipäeval enne keskkööd kuulutati välja EESTI VABARIIGI ISESEISVUS. La Liberte.

Sügissalongi näituseks, mille töödetähtaeg oli 14. oktoober 1991, sain oma *Orelikontserdi Niguliste kirikus* valmis.

Today I started * Organ concert in St. Nicholas Church. On August 25, there will be Uibo’s organ concert. On Monday morning, August 22, the chaos started. I heard about the state coup in Moscow on the radio.

At that time, no one knew if it would be an experiment or who was behind it. When I saw this group on TV, you could see from their faces – this is not how leaders of the people and the state should be. These were caricatures from the days of the French Revolution when Daumier et al. caricatured politicians. On Tuesday, August 23, before midnight, the INDEPENDENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA was proclaimed. La Liberte.

For the Autumn Salon exhibition, the deadline for which was October 14, 1991, I completed my *Organ Concert in St. Nicholas Church*.
