1975. a. detsembris toimus näitus Harku Eksperimentaalbioloogia Instituudis ja 1995. a. detsembris Tallinna Linnagaleriis “Harku 1975-1995”. Organiseeritud noorte kunstnike ja teadlaste grupi poolt: Leonhard Lapin, Sirje Lapin, Tõnu Karu, Raul Meel. Üritusele järgnes ametnike raevukas reaktsioon, kuna «Sündmus Harku 75» oli selgelt väljajoonistuv alternatiivse kunstikultuuri esitus. Näituse eesmärgiks oli leida puutepunkte teadusliku ja kunstilise mõtte vahel. Kataloogis on toodud sümpoosionil esitatud tekstid ja kõned ning fotod väljapanekust. Osalesid Silvi Allik-Virkepuu, Toomas Kall, Kaarel Kurismaa, Leonhard Lapin, Sirje Lapin-Runge, Raul Meel, Jüri Okas, Jaan Ollik – Villu Järmut Illimar Pauli osalusel ja Silver Vahtre.
In December 1975, an exhibition was held at the Harku Institute of Experimental Biology and in December 1995 at the Tallinn City Gallery “Harku 1975-1995”. Organized by a group of young artists and scientists: Leonhard Lapin, Sirje Lapin, Tõnu Karu, Raul Meel. The event was followed by a furious reaction from officials, as “Event Harku 75” was a clearly visible representation of alternative art culture. The aim of the exhibition was to find common ground between scientific and artistic thought. The participants were Silvi Allik-Virkepuu, Toomas Kall, Kaarel Kurismaa, Leonhard Lapin, Sirje Lapin-Runge, Raul Meel, Jüri Okas, Jaan Ollik – Villu Järmut with the participation of Illimar Pauli and Silver Vahtre.
The catalog contains texts and speeches presented at the symposium, as well as photographs from the exhibition.

„Harku 1975“ – 50 aastat legendist
Selle legendaarse sündmuse 50. aastapäeva tähistamiseks on Kumu projektiruumis avatud näitus, mis on pühendatud „Harku 1975“ rekonstrueerimisele ja selle tähenduse taasavastamisele Eesti kunstiloos. Näitus koondab teoseid Eesti Kunstimuuseumi ja Tartu Kunstimuuseumi kogudest ning mitmest Eesti erakogust. Esmakordselt on eksponeeritud ka teoseid, mida on seni peetud kadunuks või hävinuks.
Osalevad kunstnikud: Sven Grünberg, Villu Järmut, Toomas Kall, Kaarel Kurismaa, Leonhard Lapin, Raul Meel, Jüri Okas, Jaan Ollik, Illimar Paul, Sirje Runge, Silver Vahtre ja Silvi Virkepuu.
Marking the 50th anniversary of this legendary event, the current exhibition in Kumu’s project space aims to reconstruct Harku 1975 piece by piece. It brings together works from the collections of the Art Museum of Estonia and the Tartu Art Museum, as well as from several Estonian private collections, including works long thought lost or destroyed.
The significance of Harku 1975 is underscored by the fact that many of the works shown there are now included in the permanent exhibition of Soviet-era art at the Kumu Art Museum, where they are displayed with special annotations to mark this exhibition.
